True Love

To paint a picture of what true love looks like, imagine someone so crazy about you that nothing else can satisfy their heart for love and fellowship. You mean so much to this person that they are willing to do anything to be able to enjoy life with you. The mere thought of you excites every core of their being. This imagination can become a reality when you realize and embrace that God loves you in this way. A certain place in scripture says, God loved us so much just as we are that He gave His own precious life to demonstrate our acceptance and uniqueness to Him. (Rom 5:8) He could think of no better way to prove His unconditional love and adoration of the beloved being He created in His own image. This my friends is True Love.

Heather and I have had the amazing opportunity to experience a relationship that is founded on the basis of True Love. We both acknowledge that there is no other love like the one God has for us. In fact we see that the only thing on earth that can depict an image of God's quality of love is marriage and family. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, has come declaring to mankind this, "You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you." His heart, being one with the Father's, proclaimed our inherent beauty, that we are deeply loved by Him for who we are, and His desire to spend eternity with His beloved, extending invitation to His family. Those of us who have acknowledged and responded "yes" to His proposal and demonstration of true love on the cross have come to be known as His bride and family, the church. We are ever anticipating His return when we can spend the rest of eternity with our beloved Christ. At present, He has blessed us with a gift, a taste of deep and close intimacy with Him through unification with Him in Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:17)

Heather and I have embarked on a journey of discovering the true meaning of love and unity as revealed in Jesus Christ. Since coming to know each other, we have become increasingly persuaded of not only our love for each other, but God's love for each of us. We have come to know more intimately the truth that was revealed in Christ more intimately seeing the fruit of His love in our relationship and our God inspired desire to be in a committed relationship with one another. As we await the full manifestation of our marriage outwardly, as it is inwardly, we look forward with sincere hope, with continual renewing of our minds, to be refreshed and transformed with the love of Christ that transcends all understanding (Ephesians 3:19) so that we may come to understand more and more the true picture of marriage. God is love; He is our light in a world that is shrouded in darkness. Man's vision of God has become obscured by the pangs of death and thus, many of us have grown distorted images of our beloved Creator and Father who desires for us to know Him clearly. For in knowing Him we come into fuller revelation of ourselves, that we are like Him, created in the image of Love. With this revelation brings restoration in our hearts and minds of our identity, of relationship, and of true intimacy.

Our Dream
My beloved Heather and I pray and look forward to His work continually manifesting into not only our lives and relationship but those of our families, communities, and friends. Christ came not for the already healed (apart from Him) but those who were sick and in need of a physician. We believe that we all have the opportunity to be healed through Him (restoration of identity) as well as experience healing actively through love and vulnerability with Him and through our relationships with one another. Jesus is truly our physician in a world sickened with sin and death. Our dream is to be able to be used by our Lord to reach others in ways that are the fruit of the inexhaustible supply of love and joy we have in Him. Whether it be through ministry or medicine, local or global, we seek to allow others to see the Christ in us and His approach-ability in a world that is frightened of even their own innate beauty (created in the image of God. Genesis 1:27) . A desire that we share and commit to our Lord is to truly be known (by believers and non-believers alike) for the amazing Love that dwells within us, in hopes that others may be touched, believe, and also find True Love born in them and in their own lives. (1 John 4:7,12;5:1) We choose to rest in and abide in His loving Grace to guide us and continually be our light as we journey together exploring the highest level of passion, God's passion, for the mankind that He eternally desires to call His own, His beloved bride.
